Partner at Woods, Marie-Louise Delisle has over 15 years of experience dealing with high-end commercial litigation matters in addition to handling matters relating to injunctions. She is involved in several major arbitration proceedings as well as commercial and civil litigation cases, particularly in matters relating to securities, public-private partnerships and professional liability. Marie-Louise also has significant and varied experience in defending against class action proceedings involving civil liability, telecommunications law, competition law and the manipulation of financial instruments. She has pleaded before the first instance and appeal tribunals of the province of Quebec.
Marie-Louise is also known for her various contributions to several publications in arbitration and numerous topics related to commercial litigation. She teaches a Commercial Litigation Workshop and Trial Advocacy Course at the Université de Montréal and sits on a variety of professional association committees. Marie-Louise is highly regarded by her peers and clients, and appears in numerous reputable legal publications, including The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Benchmark Litigation and The Best Lawyers in Canada.

Professional Liability
Representation of Chrysler Canada Inc. and CIBC Mellon Trust Company in the context of a $165 million lawsuit against the Castor Holdings auditors.

Representation of investors against a major financial institution for misconduct in the management of their assets.

Participated in securing a class action judgment against a semi-public agency acting as a pension manager to pay considerable damages to several pensioners following the dissemination of misleading information, in Myette v. Commission administrative des régimes de retraite et d’assurances, 2010 QCCS 2797.
