Richard practices mainly in the fields of Commercial Litigation, Class Actions, Securities Litigation, Defamation, and Employment Law. Since 2002, he pleads regularly before the courts of first instance and the Court of Appeal of Quebec, as well as arbitration tribunals. He also acts as strategic advisor to many of his clients.

Represented Groupe TVA Inc., Serge Fortin, Pierre Bruneau, and Paul Larocque against Gesca Ltd., La Presse Ltd., Cyberpresse Inc., Patrick Lagacé, and Richard Therrien in a defamation lawsuit.
Represented individuals in public inquiries;
Represented Saputo Inc. and Lino Saputo Sr. in a multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit instituted against the Canadian media.
Represented Quebecor Inc., Quebecor Média Inc., Vidéotron ltée, and Pierre Karl Péladeau against the Société Radio-Canada, Sylvain Lafrance, and Robert Rabinovitch in a defamation lawsuit.
Represented Desjardins Securities Inc. against RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Caroline Lambert, and Geneviève Casavant where the Woods team secured a provisional injunction and an order of protection regarding a non-solicitation clause.
Represented several high level executives in the field of employment law.
