Simon-Alexandre Poitras focuses his career on the resolution of civil and commercial disputes. After graduating from Université de Sherbrooke and being called to the Quebec Bar in 2019, he has been gaining experience in disciplinary law and construction law.
Outside his practice, Simon-Alexandre is a member of the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Canadian Bar Association – Quebec Division (CBA-Quebec). He is also active in training various audiences. He has been a teaching assistant for the documentary research courses at Université de Sherbrooke's Faculty of Law and has been invited to give lectures, notably for professional orders.
His excellent academic record has led him to represent his university in various forums, such as the Pierre-Basile-Mignault Civil Law Moot Court Competition and the National Model United Nations in New York City, where he acted as chief delegate. He was also a member of the Editorial and Development Board of the Revue de droit de l’Université de Sherbrooke.
